Growing as Christ’s disciples

We believe that real growth as Christ’s disciples occurs in the context of learning from His Word, the Bible, in the local church as we praise God, pray to God, and hear preaching about God (Hebrews 10:19-25, James 5:13-20). That said, there are resources that have supplementary value. Here are some resources which you may find useful.

Grace Baptist Partnership

Grace Baptist Partnership has played a major role in supporting our work in Angel. A charity that helps churches plant churches, the Partnership provides a monthly men’s training and fellowship group in several different locations, including London. The Partnership also provides support for church planters and the work they are engaged in while linking these together in a healthy prayer and fellowship network. Look out for special events they are hosting, particularly the annual conference which is always a real highlight! https://www.gracebaptistpartnership.org/

Affinity

Affinity is a fellowship of churches, organisations and individuals seeking to express the unity that all God’s people enjoy through Jesus. Regan (Pastor, The Angel Church) has been a member of Affinity’s Social Issues Team and written for its journal The Bulletin for the past decade. Articles are accesible here. https://www.affinity.org.uk

Evangelical Alliance

an alliance of evangelicals sharing the gospel, lifting voices of hope, and building unity. Existing to serve and strengthen the UK church. Ridley Haim Herschell, a Jewish follower of Jesus, pastored one of the first Hebrew speaking congregations in London from our building on Chadwell Street and was a co-founder of Evangelical Alliance. https://www.eauk.org/resources

The London Project

The London Project is a City to City initiative and exists to be a catalyst for churches and networks to collaborate to see healthy gospel churches planted and impacting in the city.

Weekly Schedule

In the Bible, Hebrews 10:24-25 says "And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings as some habitually do, but encouraging each other..." (HCSB) Thus, regular gatherings to share in worship, learning, and conversation focused on Christ's good news are a key part of who we are as a church. We welcome anyone and everyone!
